Really very happy with recent work by Cormac Shields. This included 2 crowns which I had put off for years. Very friendly staff. Work was explained and then carried out very efficiently, and with great consideration for my comfort.
All preceded by an overdue cleaning by the hygienist. Great throughout.
Incidentally, this is the first time ever I have taken the time to enter any review.

Dental check prior to cleaning
The check took 5 minutes. Cleaning was satisfactory but very expensive, €135-which was a bit of a shock. Better to have that mentioned at time of booking.

Had such a great experience - had a really informative visit where they explained everything to me in detail. They were so lovely and took loads of time to make sure we went over everything. Great
I am a person who is very nervous with a dentist due to past bad dental experiences, however Dr. Danial at Shields Dental in Roscrea was very good, discusses what options you have available and what he thinks is best for you, doesn’t pressure you into making decisions and most importantly he actually listens to what you have to say and doesn’t make you feel like you arer nothing. His work was very clean and tidy and the finished result was very good and he actually takes his time and puts effort into his end result, he also discusses and shows you the stages of the work when being carried out. I believe he has left now but hope he returns to Shields Dental at some point.
Overall I would recommend Shields Dental.
The only negative I would say is to get teeth cleaned is a bit expensive, recent experience with hygienist wasn’t great, missed a lot of tartar on some of my teeth, for the cost this shouldn’t be happening.
